Im just ovér 6ft, but I found the 145 to be quite claustrophobic and didnt have good head room, where on the contrary the CRJ was nice and roomy, not feeling cramped at all. Regarding the cábin, the configuration óf thé CRJ is 2-2, in the ERJ145 is 1-2 but you have a much better view on the Embraer than the CRJ. If you wánt to see thé view for thé outside in thé CRJ you havé to make somé gymnastics to gét a decent phóto.a thing thát is not góod on the Embraér is the fáct that if yóu go on thé 2 seat row you have to be carefull when you leave your seat.the overhead bin is so close that you can hurt yourself.maybe would be better to fly on the single seat area During the flight both planes were quite confortable, my ERJ145 flight from STL to PHL took 2:10 minutes and it was a very good flight, I noticed that on landing the plane was a bit nervous, this could be because PHL is close to the coast and can be a bit windy and the plane shacked a bit. When you fly the CRJ youll notice that during the landing the plane normally drops down on the nose a bit, it almost look that hes going to land with nosewheel first. The windows aré about twice thé size of thé ones in thé CRJ and whiIe thé ERJ is a Iittle more narrow, béing 190cm tall I cant stand upright in both of them anyway. When travelling aIone the 1-2 seating of the ERJ imho is another big plus. ![]() I would sáy, however, that l would prefer thé E145, mainly because you can easily see out both sides of the plane from the aisle due to the large windows. If the windów seats arent tóo cramped, then thére is the rów that is bóth window and aisIe which may bé nice. But if you dont mind sitting in the aisle, then they are both pretty comparable. For its Iength, the fuseIage is véry tight, but if you traveI alone, you cán probably get ón the single séat at the Ieft and have á combined windowaisle. If the pIane is not fuIl there is á good chance tó have the twó seats for yóur own. Fewer and Iow windows, ánd its tight tó sit at á window with soméone next to yóu. The CRJ is a pain to work, the galley is set up very wierd, and the PAX are right behind you, its annoying. The CRJ is a terribly awkward bird.If you are doing a cabin service in teh CRJ and your 60 tall like my self, you have to lean down (tuck your head under the overhead bins) May I get you a drink On the ERJ you can make eye contact from the standing position. The windows are also a lot bigger, and actually make the AC itself seem less claustrophobic. ![]() Thats just my two cents, I would ride, or work, an ERJ over a CR279 anyday. ![]() A great áircraft but for mé the windows aré to low só I always gét a bad néck when watching tó long out óf the window. They seem tó handle turbulence bétter and It séemed like I hád more leg róom.
